Warhammer 40K: Darktide is an insane game of slaughter, madness, honour, and destruction. If you enjoy massacring hordes of Nurgle’s acolytes and beasts, then this is the game for you. With four classes to choose from, players can really get the most out of this experience. But there is more than mindless murder, as there are particular achievements that really showcase a player’s skill, the Long Bomb achievement being one. But how do you get the Long Bomb achievement practically? Here is how to get the Long Bomb achievement in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.
How to get the Long Bomb Achievement
The Long Bomb achievement is accomplished as such:
As the Sharpshooter, kill 5 enemies with a Frag Grenade without it bouncing.
This achievement is a little trickier to get than it may seem. Killing five enemies with a frag grenade might sound easy enough, but its the ‘without it bouncing’ part that really ups the ante. There is only really one way to effectively get this achievement, and you’ll have to actively go out of your way to get it.

Firstly, for a grenade to explode without it bouncing, it needs to be a direct hit on an enemy, your best chances being the head. So you’ll need to accurately throw the grenade directly to an enemy’s noggin. Not only that, but then it’ll need to take out four other enemies in the blast, which is more difficult than it may sound.
Don’t rush to try and get the long bomb achievement, you are given three grenades to begin with and you will have a chances to get more later, don’t waste them in the early game for the sake of the achievement. Instead, wait for a little later, as that is when the blood-thirsty hordes of Nurgle will be running towards you all.
Being a sharpshooter, you can’t afford to get too close to action, but you’ll need to get close enough to lob the grenade. The beauty of the enemies being in such close quarters to each other is that you can throw the grenade and have good chances that it will hit an enemy’s head.
Due to the madness of the game, it is near-impossible to accurately aim for an enemy’s head in a rapid horde. So, simply dash forwards, throw the grenade at head-height, and then back off before you get beaten to death. You’ll simply have to hope that all the events proceed to win you that achievement. It is tricky and will require numerous attempts.
