How to get the Legendary Bloom in Borderlands 3 Bounty of Blood

Here’s how to get the Bloom in Borderlands 3:

  • Item: Bloom (Legendary Jakobs Pistol)
  • Location: Crater’s Edge, Gehenna
  • Boss: Ruiner

First, make sure you have the new Bounty of Blood DLC because this item is exclusive to the DLC. To start things off, head over to Crater’s Edge on Gehenna. You will need to farm Ruiner, who is the final boss of the Bounty of Blood. There is a save point just before the arena that you can get to make your farming more efficient.

Looking at the Bloom stats, we can see the damage and fire rate are incredibly high. The rest of the stats are about what we could expect from a Legendary pistol. The Bloom spawns with the same weapon parts every time except for the reload, which can roll either 2 seconds or 1.8 seconds.

The red text reads, “a thorn by any other name would probably still hurt.” The attributes provide bonus critical hit damage and increased weapon damage, reload speed, and melee damage. At the bottom of the gun information, we can see it says, “hold the trigger to charge Burst Fire shots.” This weapon also only can drop in the non-elemental form, as is the case for most Jakobs weapons.

The amount of bullets you burst fire depends on how long you hold down the fire button. Burst fire is not a requirement, though, because you can spam your fire button to shoot the gun just as fast.

Overall, the legendary Bloom is excellent for mobbing and killing bosses. The bullets ricochet, which makes it easy to take out groups of enemies. There is also a blade on the weapon, allowing you to do some melee with it.
