How to Get the Jetpack in High on Life

Rocketmaaaaaan!

In High on Life, let’s face it — you can’t jump very … high. Wouldn’t it be great if you could jump high? And maybe hover? Well, good news! In the aftermath of the elimination of Douglas, when you return to Blim City and speak with Magistrate Clugg, you will be able to reserve a Jetpack from the pawn shop. If you’re unsure how to secure one for yourself, read on to learn how to get the Jetpack in High on Life.

As soon as you return from your meeting with Magistrate Clugg, Gene will tell you about two things:

  1. You should check out Blorto’s “Food” Shop.
  2. The pawn shop should have Jetpacks.

So, as I’m sure you’re used to doing, head to Mr. Keep’s Pawn Shop and inquire about a Jetpack. Keeps will tell you that he has to back-order it, and that it’ll be ready in a couple of days. There’s no real use in arguing, so it looks like you’ll have to find other ways to jump high until then.

Head back to the house and inform Gene of the Jetpack’s status. He’ll suggest you use this down time to get some much-needed R&R. If you head up to your room and interact with your bed, time will pass, and when you wake up a few days later, you’ll be equipped with a brand spankin’ new Jetpack! Now, you will be able to jump really, really high! AND HOVER!

In all seriousness, the Jetpack changes the game when it comes to combat. If you can learn to use it right, you’ll be able to slip-n-slide (if you have the powerslide) and propel yourself to new heights — literally!
