Where to Find Screamer Lungs in Dead Island 2

Screamer Lungs are titled as Swollen Lungs in-game, being an item exclusive to obtaining from both the Screamer and Voltaic Screamer Zombie Types in Dead Island 2. You will only be able to obtain this type of Infected Body Part by finding and killing Screamers, but keep in mind that the drop rate of these Infected Items are incredibly low. For this reason, along with many other Body Parts you will come across in the game, you may wish to search for these dropped items passively, rather than making it your sole goal for a while in Dead Island 2.

You will find Screamers within Beverly Hill. It is best not to get these mixed up with the common Walkers as you could get side-tracked taking out many of these instead of the Screamers. These Zombies are distinct in that their primary method of fighting is by screaming at you within a short radius so that your mobility is slowed down. If they successfully slow you, they will move in and use a basic swing attack, utilizing one arm at a time. You can also find Voltaic Screamers at the Pier, inside the Arcade.

How to Kill Voltaic Screamers

When taking on a Screamer, you need to keep a safe distance from their scream which appears to have a 1-2 metre radius in effect. If you are hit by the slowing effect of their scream, the only real damage can appear if the Screamer has a group of Walkers or other Types with them at the time of attack. We highly recommend either throwing a weapon at the Screamer in the middle of their scream or blocking mid-scream to reduce the slowing effect. We highly recommend however that although the have a longer time to kill than other Zombie Types, you take the Screamer on using blunt force with weaponry rather than shooting them. This should increase your chances of picking up any Swollen Lungs off drop, however it is not guaranteed.

Screamers are incredibly weak to explosive damage performed in Fury Mode, but if you get in an appropriate amount of blunt damage instead of using any guns, you should increase your chances of getting the Swollen Screamer Lung in Dead Island 2 off drop.
