Many players now want to become a captain of their very own vessel in the Sea of Thieves. But from sloop to galleon, the ships don’t come cheap! If you ever found yourself in need of extra gold, or are wanting to save up and purchase your own ship, then you’re going to need to get rich quick, and thankfully season seven has many ways for a plucky pirate to gain gold. Here is a guide on how to make the most profit whilst out venturing.
How to Get Rich Quick in Season Seven of Sea of Thieves
Raid a Sea Fort
Sea Forts are a fantastic way to score a load of loot quickly. Being easy enough to do by yourself and offering handsome rewards, the first thing you are going to want to do is find an active sea fort. It would be heavily recommended to have a rowboat of some sort with you, so keep an eye on passing islands to see if you can snatch one.
You must simply slaughter all the phantoms, then the captain to gain access to the key to unlocking the sea fort’s glorious bounty. Having lots of damned bounty skulls, chests, and cargo, the trading companies will pay a lot more for your loot. Also, whilst you’re there, raid the fort’s cabinets. Not only will you uncover lots of trinkets, gold pouches, and bounty skulls, but you may find a key to the storage room atop the fort, providing you with even more loot for your troubles.
Being quick, easy, and rewarding, you would be insane to pass up an active sea fort, especially if you are with some friends.
Unlike skeleton fortresses, there is no cloud indicator to let players know one is active. Instead, the sea fort lights up with a bright phantasmic glow. Only one can be activated with a twenty-minute cooldown between sea forts. This means that there is some traveling required, but there are many things you can do in the meantime of traveling from one sea fort to the other.
Complete the deeds and trials
Whilst sailing the seas, it would be worth checking the daily deeds. They are easy and you will hardly have to go out of your way to get them done. Easy tasks like simply selling a fish or even just sailing will reward you with thousands of gold.
The trials, whether daily, weekly, or monthly, will contribute to your renown for the season. As you develop through the season, you will unlock more and more rewards, namely gold. You will get rewarded with gold pouches every few levels, so by performing the deeds will pay off. If the deeds require you to go out of your way, then plan beforehand to stop off at certain islands to perform the chosen deeds that are on the way to the sea fort.
After your session, you will have gained a decent portion of gold. That, after a few sessions, could really add up, and only for minimal effort.

Grab other player’s maps and keep a quest active
Before you head off on your voyage, make sure to grab five maps from the quest board for islands that will be on the way to the sea forts. This could rake in a lot of good loot, depending on how generous the players were. The best thing is, that you will be digging up gold for all three trading companies, gaining your levels as well as gold.
If you manage to hit all five on your way to and from the sea fort, you will have potentially doubled your profits for only five measly stop-offs.
Additionally, it would be worth keeping a voyage active, preferably a gold hoarder’s voyage due to the simplicity. if you can hit any of the islands on your journey, it would be worth quickly hopping off to increase your prize pool.
Face the world events
If you are still trying to find a sea fort, and you don’t have much loot on board, it may be worth steering towards any nearby active skeleton fortresses or naval battles.
You must be careful and only take on what you can. if you are by yourself, it would be recommended to avoid them. And don’t forget, if your goal is to get rich quickly, then taking the time to do these battles may slow you down. But they are a great thing to keep you occupied in between sea fort cooldowns to earn some extra loot.
Fish
Nothing to do whilst on the way to a distant sea fort? Are no islands nearby hiding any of your quests’ treasures? Got someone else taking care of the ship? The only thing left to do then is to fish. So sit at the end of your ship, grab the right bait, and cast your line away. If you score any rare fish and cook them, you’ll receive a night little bonus. And make Merrick happy.
There you have it, as long as follow this guide, you’ll find yourself making money in no time.
