Here’s a fun science fact: natural pearls are created when microscopic creatures enter the mouth of a mollusk like an oyster. The mollusk secretes a mixture of calcium carbonate and shapes it into a sphere with its tongue to trap the intruder. Thankfully, you don’t have to sit through that whole gross process to get pearls in Islands. Here’s how to get Pearls in Roblox Islands.
How to Get Pearls in Roblox Islands – Resource Guide
Pearls can be found in Islands as treasure items randomly received through fishing. There’s no special technique to it; you cast your line, pull it up when you get a bite, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a pearl. Pearls are used in the creation of the Aquamarine Sword and the Washing Station, both quality items worth the effort. However, while there’s no special technique for catching pearls, there are requirements.
While you can fish at any Fishing skill level with a wooden rod, that won’t cut it if you’re looking for pearls. Pearls require an iron fishing rod to catch, and you can’t make an iron fishing rod until your Fishing skill is at least level 20. You’ll need to get a wooden rod and do a lot of fishing to get enough experience for that.
As a reminder, you’ll need the following materials to make an iron fishing rod:
- 50 Maple Wood
- 40 Iron
- A Tier 2 Workbench
Improving the Odds
Once you’ve got your iron fishing rod, you can start fishing for pearls in any body of water. If you like, though, there are a few additional measures you can take to improve your odds of snagging one.
- Continue raising your Fishing skill. The higher your skill level, the higher the odds of landing more valuable fish and treasure.
- Use bait. Employing fishing bait, crafted from 3 carrots, will also raise the odds of more valuable catches.
- Eat a candy apple. Candy apples raise your chances of fishing up treasure by 20%. You can craft them from 4 apples and 12 jars of honey, though you’ll need level 60 Cooking.
Once you’ve taken all the optimal measures, find yourself a comfy fishing spot and start casting your line. With any luck, you’ll start reeling in all the pearls you could ever want.
