How to get Paldean forms of Tauros in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Now this is a bull of a different color!

While we all love Pokemon and excitedly anticipate each new generation, some pocket monsters have been treated better than others. Many Pokemon start of as base level with no evolutions. As each new generation releases, you can hope for a new evolution or even a baby form of your favorite solo pokemon. The one early solo Pokemon that never seem to get its dues however was Tauros. Around since the first generation, Tauros has always been on its own, even when fans were sure it finally got an evolution.

In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, we finally get some flowers for Tauros. The bull Pokemon can now at least change its form in the new Paldea region. Here is how to get the Paldean forms of Tauros in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Get Fire and Water Tauros

While some may be disappointed that it’s not an evolution, at least Tauros’ new look comes in three new unique flavors. The regular Paldean Tauros is all black with different style horns and tails. Instead of the typical Normal-Type that Tauros has been stuck with for decades now, this new all-black furred bull Pokemon is a full Fighting-Type. This will at least make Tauros much more competitive to use.

Thankfully this is not all for the new Paldean Tauros. There are two other types, one that is both Fighting and Water-Type and the other both Fighting and Fire-Type.

Since these are different separate forms and not evolutions, it is likely each type of Tauros will be found in different areas of the Paldea Region. It can be safe to assume that you’ll find only one type at a time in different areas.

Most likely the Water-Type Tauros will be found near bodies of water or up in cold snowy areas. The Fire-Type Tauros will likely be in more rocky areas and perhaps there is a volcano or desert area as well. The regular Fighting-Type Tauros is probably going to be the most common to find in the normal grassy plain areas of the Region.

Hopefully, this will be enough for the Tauros fans out there that always wanted the bull Pokemon to get its due. Here’s hoping one day we will get an evolutionary form… or at least finally correct it to evolve into Bouffalant as it should have years ago.
