Creatures of Sonaria is a Roblox experience where players get to grow giant and cool creatures from babies to adults. Nest and lay the next generation of creatures, and protect them from threats. The quest for survival is a tough one, but the game has features that make it easier for you, such as mutations. Although, are mutations even in the game anymore?
Are mutations in Creatures of Sonaria?
Mutations in Creatures of Sonaria are genetic buffs that improve your creature in different ways. They are randomly selected every minute once reaching adulthood until your creature receives five. These mutations are a great reward for staying alive so long, and they help considerably, either improving health, regeneration, hunger rates, or so much more.
However, you may notice that you aren’t getting your mutations once you reach adulthood. That is because they have been removed from the game. Instead of mutations, players can now get plushies. Plushies are very expensive and provide smaller, less impressive buffs for the creatures.

Mutations may have been scrapped to make the game harder, or perhaps the developers prefered the plushie gacha system, and having plushies and mutations would be too much. So, you’ll have to make do without any mutations to help your creature survive the harsh environments of Sonaria. At least now all players will be on a more even setting, as no one will be receiving buffs that give them an edge.
I for one am slightly disappointed as receiving the mutations was exciting, whether I got a good set or a bad set. It also made each creature I played slightly more unique, as they all were better in certain aspects. This is made worse by the gacha system that has been employed. The plushies are adorable, but they are expensive and simply worse than mutations. But that may just be a me thing.
