Potionomics is all about brewing up a storm in your cozy little potions shop you have inherited, not only to be rid of all the debt your uncle had racked up but to become the very best potion shop across all the land. To do this, you’ll need to customize and decorate the shoddy shop along the way.
One way to do this is by adding more shelves where you arrange the potions you have brewed. These makeshift shelves are absolutely necessary to do any form of business in the shop, and you will only have one initially available. Here’s how to further expand your shelving.
How to Add More Shelves in Potionomics
Each shelf in Potionomics allows for three potions to be placed on it. This means that, in early game, you can only sell to three customers because of this limitation. But it won’t be that way for long!
By day four, you will have unlocked the display shelves that can use up to three potions to present and draw the attention of passers-by. At this point, you will have also met four delightful characters – Quinn, Mint, Baptise, and Muktuk. The latter here is key!
Each character will offer their own unique services to Sylvia upon meeting them. With the introduction of Muktuk, he will provide you with a new and sparkly cauldron, free of charge. What a draw-in! You’ll need little convincing to do as he asks and visit his own shop to spend some of your hard-earned coins on further upgrading your shop with him. You see, Muktuk is a Blacksmith, and his services cover not the crafting of new equipment, such as cauldrons, but shelves too!
Keep Muktuk in mind for future investments to make the most of your shop’s potential because you’ll need to make room first before implementing these. To do this, it will take a few more days to meet another important supporting character to aid you – Saffron. Since she is a Carpenter, she will be the direct person you need when making the necessary room improvements to obtain Muktuk’s goods. This will allow for more brewing at one given time.
Remember to bring the right materials required for both of these characters. These can be noted down easily when browsing their shops. Ensure to send Mint on an adventure when traveling to have her collect the goods you need to implement when buying from either merchant. Finally, do your part by putting aside enough money to eventually purchase the room expansion and equipment additions once she comes back with the necessary items. Rinse and repeat!
