How to get Mareep in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Mareep is located in the grassy areas of Valley Windworks in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

To get Mareep, you will need to beat the elite four and obtain the National PokeDex and Poke Radar. Then, go to Floaroma Town and make your way to Valley Windworks. Use your Poke Radar in the patch of grass in Valley Windworks, and hope for a Mareep encounter. You may find Buizel and other Pokemon, but just reset the Poke Radar and try again until you successfully find a Mareep.

It should only take you a few minutes to find one, and you can increase your odds of finding electric-type Pokemon. However, that means you might also get Pachirisu to pop up instead.

Mareep can also be found in the Grassland Cave, Sunlit Cavern, or Whiteout Cave in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. You can simply exit and re-enter either of the zones if you fail to find Mareep the first time around and repeat the process until you finally get a Mareep encounter.
