One of the key items you receive at the beginning of your journey into the Paldea region is unlike any other item you have ever received. It’s a sandwich from your mom! Now this might not seem like a game changing item to throw in your inventory at the time. However, once players make their way into the new region, they’ll be able to make their very own sandwiches. These delectable deli dishes will provide many different status buffs on your adventure. From increasing odds of finding eggs and shiny Pokémon, to further increasing exp. gains and materials from battle. Using many real-life ingredients found in various shops, one can create a sandwich from a pre assigned recipe, or create their own. With tomato sauce being one of the many ingredients, let’s find out how to get ketchup in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to get Ketchup in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Before players get ahead of themselves, they should know that making sandwiches isn’t something you can do right off the bat. Instead, players will need to progress until they reach the first major city of the game, Mesagoza. After reaching the city and advancing through the story, make your way to the west side of the city. Located over by the west exit of the city is the Artisan Bakery. This shop houses tons of different ingredients used to craft some delicious sandwiches including ketchup. Enter the store and head to the counter. One item of ketchup will cost the player 110 Poké dollars or 110 League Points (depending on which currency you want to use).
Obtaining other ingredients can be done by travelling to new locations and shops around the region. However, thanks to the creative sandwich making mode, players can mix and match any ingredients they currently have in order to make all new sandwiches. Sometimes, even sandwiches with better status effects than ones with recipes. Knowing how to get ketchup in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will go a long way to helping players craft certain sandwiches. While other ingredients are needed, ketchup allows players to create noodle sandwiches as well as fried fillet sandwiches. Just make sure to keep your sandwiches away from your Pokéballs.
