Two Pokémon evolutions, one base Pokémon, two Pokémon games, one Pokémon evolution for each game. Well, that is interesting. Anyway, version-exclusive Pokémon is not a new thing, it has been happening since the first generation of Pokémon all the way to ninth (the current one). It is basically a mechanic that encourages players to trade Pokémon in order to complete their Pokédex. Armarouge and Ceruledge are a couple of the Pokémon that make up this mechanic, and they both come for the fan favorite Charcadet. Here is how to get Armarouge and Ceruledge in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Evolve Charcadet
How to Get Armarouge in Pokémon Scarlet
In order to get Armarouge, you’re going to need to collect the Auspicious Armor. That’s right, neither Armarouge nor Ceruledge evolve from Charcadet by simply gaining XP, they need their respective armor. In order to get the Auspicious Armor, you’re going to want to collect 10 Bronzor Fragments. This Pokémon is located on the West, East and South of the map, specially in ruins. You will get the fragments by either KO’ding or catching Bronzor. Once collected, head to Zapapico (West) and you will find a gentleman near a fountain wanting to trade. You will give him your 10 Bronzor Fragments in exchange for the Auspicious Armor. Use it with Charcadet, and it will evolve into an Armarouge.
How to Get Ceruledge in Pokémon Violet
The way to get Ceruledge in Pokémon Violet is very similar to getting Armarouge in Scarlet, albeit a little bit harder. Instead of Bronzor Fragments, you will need to collect 10 Sinistea Chips. The only thing is that Sinistea, which is South Province (Area Six) and East Province (Area Three) is level 40, so you will have to battle a little bit more. Once collected, head to Zapapico (West) and you will find a lady instead, looking for trading as well. Exchange your 10 Sinistea Chips with the lady for a complete set of Malicious Armor. Use it on Charcadet, and it will evolve into a Ceruledge.

Well, that’s quite an adventure. If you ask me, I prefer Ceruledge over Armarouge. It just looks cooler in my opinion. But anyway, it is up to you! And up to what game you bought anyway. You can learn more about the Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet in the official site. Cheers and happy catching!
