Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) is back once again in Madden 24, and players are eager to get their hands on a winning team. As most people know, MUT tasks players with building a team comprised of players from all around the NFL. Serving as a coach type for your team, you’ll also have the chance to select which playbooks you’ll want to use. Offensive and defensive plays will help your players shine, providing them as many opportunities to be as successful as they can. Sadly, there are alternate plays located in certain books that can only be obtained one way. So let’s head to the store and figure out how to get alternate playbooks in Madden 24.
How to Get Alternate Playbooks in Madden 24
Alternate playbooks can be obtained by completing the alternate playbook set in MUT. To find certain sets, make your way to the ‘Marketplace’ tab, and select the ‘Sets’ tab. Scroll all the way down the page, and you’ll find the Alternate Playbooks set. However as with every card set, you need to make sure you meet certain requirements for it. So if you’re missing out on some extra players to throw away, you might want to come back when you’ve obtained more cards. The quest is repeatable since there are multiple playbooks that you can collect. However you’ll need to satisfy it’s requirements every single repeat, with one of many random offensive/defensive playbooks being available to win from the well.

In order to redeem the alternate playbooks card set in Madden 24, you’ll need to exchange 6 gold players. For those who might be unaware, a gold player is anyone with an overall rating of 70-79. This means, if you happen to have any players that are higher or lower in overall rating, you won’t be able to trade them in. And we say trade in, because you won’t be getting any of these players back. You are able to collect them again from other packs, but the ones you place in the card set get taken away for good. This could be really good or really bad, depending on if you want a certain book and don’t end up getting it. Players will need to bless up to the RNG gods and hope they won’t waste any worthwhile active players in an attempt to earn this.
