The towns and cities of the Paldea region feature plenty of shopping options, all of which can be discerned at a glance based on their outdoor displays. Hat shops, for instance, will have lots of hats on display, while clothing shops will have shirts, jackets, and other outerwear on display. If you walk up to a shop and spot a red, white, and blue spinning barber pole, then you’ve found a hair salon!

You can visit hair salons in most major Paldean cities and towns to change up your hairstyle as your mood dictates. If you walk in, the friendly hairdresser will take you right away, showing you a menu of potential hair styles you can adopt. Don’t worry, we’re playing fast and loose with physics here, so you can switch to a long hairstyle from a short one.

How to Change Hair Style

Browse the salon menu with the control stick and press A on a hair style to see it displayed on your Trainer. You can keep browsing until you find the one you want. Also, if you press right on the D-Pad, you can also customize your Trainer’s hair color. Again, feel free to browse as much as you like.

Once you’ve settled on a look and color you like, press the + button to pay the salon fee and get snippin’. Hair styling costs 3,000 dollars a session, so make sure you want a new ‘do before you confirm. If you don’t see any styles you like in the menu, you can press B to back out. They won’t charge you unless you confirm a selection.

Keep in mind that some hairstyles aren’t compatible with certain pieces of headwear, so if you can’t get the one you want right now, just back out and come back later. You should also check in with every new salon you run into, as they may have some styles you haven’t seen before!

Feel free to periodically change your hairstyle over the course of your Pokemon adventure. Don’t forget to take a picture and update your Trainer ID too! The world needs to see that excellent hair.
