How to Fix Warhammer 40K: Darktide Error 4008
So, for those looking for ways to reverse error code 4008 in Darktide, it should be said that it’s not likely a result of anything you did. You can rest easy knowing that it’s probably a result of the servers being a tad overloaded. But, there are some methods to fixing this problem that you can try, if you’re up to it.
First, double (or triple) check that your internet connection is working as intended. If necessary, give your router a quick restart, and if the error code was created as a result of connectivity issues, it should resolve. While you’re at it, you can also try restarting your PC. If both of those methods aren’t fruitful, check to see if your graphics card has a pending update.

It might also help to verify the game files’ integrity. You can do this via Steam by right-clicking the game in your list, then PROPERTIES, LOCAL FILES, and finally, VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES. Of course, all of this can only help players on PC. As of writing, this error doesn’t seem to be affecting many players on Xbox. In any case, aside from those methods — and deleting / re-downloading the game — the best fix is one of patience. Ideally, developer Fatshark will issue a patch to fix error code 4008 in the near future.
