How to Fix Toggle Crouch Not Working in Overwatch 2

Toggling crouching is a thing, and I love it.

There are a lot of things you can do in a competitive shooting game besides, well, shooting. Movement is almost as essential as shooting and will provide vantage points from which the player can shoot better and also make the enemy’s aiming a lot harder. And while stealth oftentimes is a second priority, crouching can save you in a face-to-face encounter. But what happens when you try to toggle crouching and you find out the only time you needed it, it was unable to function? Oh well, hello darkness my old friend. Toggle crouching is oftentimes disregarded as unnecessary. However, to be honest, it is the only way of crouching that I was accustomed to when I began playing games. I mean, being able to focus on other things by not having one of my fingers focus on keep pressing a button? Magic. But well, that does bring the speed down by a bit by having the necessity to toggle walking back again. It is an acquired taste if you will. Anyway, some players report that there is an issue present with Toggle Crouch, so be sure to follow the steps below to fix this issue.

Troubleshooting Steps

  • Select Overwatch 2’s Options menu.
  • Click controls and then select a hero.
  • Check to ensure the Toggle Crouch function is enabled or not. You could turn it off and on again if it’s activated. If not, go ahead and activate it.
  • If this doesn’t do the trick, then you should check if there is a keybinding conflict. This usually makes an action such as Toggle Crouch impossible. Check if Push to Talk in Communications is assigned to the same key.
  • Change the keybinding to another key for Toggle Crouch. This is the easiest way to ensure that Toggle Crouch works.
