How to Fix Steam Wishlist Not Loading

Wishlist not working? No problem, here's what you do!

As amazing as the multi-gaming platform Steam is, every website with so much traffic is bound to have a few hiccups. Run by gaming company Valve, steam provides for over several millions of people who download dozens if not hundreds of games a year. Steam currently has over 10 million constant users. Now some times a server issue will pop up because of so much use and traffic. Certain functions may work and others won’t. One of the most common issues is the Wishlist feature.

You may right now be trying to pull up your Steam Wishlist for the current sale. The Steam Store has been known to experience outages from time to time. An overwhelming amount of gamers trying to get onto the platform can cause a bit of difficulty accessing one’s library and wishlist.

However, this sort of thing has happened quite often throughout Steam’s history so there are some strategies that can really help you out. If you’re lucky, your Wishlist will come back up in no time. Let’s take a look at some of these options and help you get back to buying games!

How to Fix Steam Wishlist from not Loading

Let’s try some quick step-by-step options first.

  1.  One of the first things you should try is signing out of your Steam account. Log back in and that might be all you need for the quickest easiest fix.
  2.  If signing out doesn’t work, fully close out of Steam, and then reopen the program.
  3. If neither option works, next, restart your PC, to give it a completely fresh start. This might help load Steam faster and easier.
  4. If you’re still having trouble, check your wishlist on the web browser or the desktop app. Sometimes the problem does not appear in the other variants of the application.
  5. Another option to try is to make sure there aren’t any filters or special search features currently enabled on your Steam Wishlist. This accidentally happens all the time and might look like your Wishlist is empty or not loading.
  6. If all these options fail, then it’s sad to say that it’s just a server issue on Valve’s end and you’re just going to have to wait it out. Check periodically every few hours to see if something changes.
