How to Fix Press Enter to Start Glitch in Hunt: Showdown

Errors and glitches are way more scary than any Hunt

No matter how stable an online video game may be, it is bound to run into some issues. Hunt: Showdown is no different, and for a title that is completely based on online activity, requiring both internet connection and PvP only modes to run and be played in, it is not always smooth sailing. Here’s one such case of a glitch players may face that affects PC players only, and how to fix it.

How to Fix Press Enter to Start Glitch in Hunt: Showdown

Upon booting up the game on PC, players will need to press the Enter key to get into its main menu. Sometimes this won’t happen as it should do, and players are effectively frozen on this screen. You have a few options here, and we will explain the reasons why this may happen as we go through our recommended actions of solving it.

  • The biggest reason for this is due to the player appearing offline. The game will not run if players are offline, so ensure that you start the game with your account flagged as online.
  • Since this issue is directly tied to PC, the issue can be the platform the game is running on. This tends to therefor be due to an issue with Steam being down or needing to be updated. If so, exit out of the game and check that the Steam client is running properly. If it is updated already, log out of your account and re-boot it. This may solve your problem.
  • Finally, the game servers may be overcrowded, especially as soon as an update, patch or special event has been implemented. Keep closing the game out and returning to it in a few minutes to see if you can progress any further into its menu.

Like many common glitches, this one is sorted through a trial and error of sorts. It is inconvenient, but nothing a few retries in re-running the game can’t solve.
