How to Fix Hogwarts Legacy Infamous Foes Bug

How to fix the Infamous Foes Challenge bug

Bugs are incredibly annoying in video games. They prevent you from getting necessary tasks completed, unlocking achievements, and destroys your immersion experience. As we were playing Hogwarts Legacy we noticed a few times our character glitched off the map or owls weren’t delivered properly. Recently, we just learned that the reason why we weren’t getting mails at certain times was because of a glitch. We thought it was normal for owls to take forever until we’ve beaten more of the main story. Unfortunately there is a glitch known as the Infamous Foes bug and we’re going to help you fix it in Hogwarts Legacy. Here’s everything you need to know about how to fix Hogwarts Legacy Infamous Foes bug.

Infamous Foes Bug Hogwarts Legacy

Hogwarts Legacy recently came out with a patch that helped players with performance issues. There were NPCS glitching or appearing randomly, flickering with characters, stability issues with cutscenes, and other various problems. Just a while ago we came across a bug known as the Infamous Foes bug that prevented monsters you’ve come across not appear in your field journal. You’d defeat them and they still wouldn’t register. It’s annoying when you know you have beaten all of the monsters and have finished the game.

What we’ve found is that the only way to actually go around this bug until a patch goes live is that you need to basically double check everything. Finish everything in the game and don’t hesitate to go back and redo some things. This is the only work around when it comes to this bug. There could be a quest you need to complete that has a monster you know you’ve beaten before, but it will only count if you’ve beaten it in the quest. Unfortunately there isn’t a fix for this glitch and maybe the developers are already aware that it exists?

Hogwarts Legacy Infamous Foe Challenge

What is the Infamous Foe Challenge? The Infamous Foe Challenge is a combat challenge where you can unlock rewards for completing. This means you need to defeat a total of 21 foes in the game such as the rampant dugbog or the Riparian Troll. Unfortunately since the bug exists this means that even if you have completed all of these foe challenges you still can’t gain access to the rewards because the game hasn’t registered that you actually defeated them. You can’t obtain the mask piece or finish the achievements. You are stuck and that’s a problem. Players have expressed their disappointment with this bug because it’s infuriating. Players have also sent bug reports to try to fix the issue and still nothing has been done.
