The reason I am useless in horror games has nothing to do with my skill levels (one could argue that, on the contrary, it is in fact my lack of skill). The reason is that, I get pretty scared, pretty easily. And I cannot think of a game that has inflicted horror, fear, and despair as much as Dead Space. Well, maybe there are a couple over there, but you get my hyperbole. The worst thing (or the best thing, depending on your POV) is that now I won’t even have the old graphics to protect me. Oh yes, Dead Space Remake is here, and not only is it a justified one, but a great one as well. For you that are now starting this horror masterpiece, here is how to find the Data Board in Dead Space.
How to Find the Data Board
Right after repairing the tram, you must continue on to the Baggage and Control area. Go through the bloody corridor (be sure to pick the items over here) and continue until you find a circuit breaker. Watch out, before continuing, be sure to kill the Necromorph that is playing dead in the ground (my soul almost left my body, geez). Once you deal with it, interact with the circuit breaker. Go ahead and divert power to the Maintenance Bay, opening the door close to you. You will now have to continue this way to find an elevator, and while you’re at it, clear all the Necromorphs that you see. You know how to, just keep aiming for the limbs.
Reach the upper level by using the elevator, and you will find another circuit breaker that you must use. Divert the power again, this time, from the light to the Maintenance Room. A door will be unlocked in the bottom floor. So, yes, you will have to go back. Before you do, though, you might want to check for a Text Log. It is located on a chair, close by to the circuit breaker. Take the elevator down and, you guessed it, kill all the Necromorphs that will want to feast on your body (or at least turn it into pieces).
Once you deal with all of them, go through the now unlocked door. You will find the Data Board inside. Grab it and you will complete the objective.

Hooray! You have successfully completed one of the first tasks in the game. Not only that, but you are getting used to dealing with those nasty Necromorphs (now remade for your entertainment). Continue on to discover more types of enemies, more challenges and puzzles, and a few scares and death scenes. The last is inevitable, but that was what made this game so popular. Good luck, Isaac.
