What are the secret rooms?

The secret rooms are chambers in the gungeon that you don’t bump into the conventional way. Instead of merely walking through a door, you’re going to have to bust your way in.

Once inside, any arrangement of rewards could be waiting for you. Some secrets rooms have chests full of fantastic rewards, others have shrines, whilst some may even have NPCs to talk to. You may also generally find armour, hearts, ammo, blanks and keys to buff you up for your fights ahead.

In case you’re worried about the resourceful rat, any goodies left in the room that were already there to begin with are safe. Any items you drop there, however, will be nabbed. There really is hardly a safe zone in the Gungeon.

How to break into secret rooms in enter the gungeon.

When it comes to secret rooms, the answer to unlocking them, unsurprisingly, is your gun. Any gun without infinite ammo (in other words not your starting guns) can be used. Equip your gun, and shoot around the walls of each chamber.

If a secret room is hiding behind the chamber wall, then that wall will visibly crack. Chambers may have no secret room, or may have many, depending on the RNG. Once the secret room’s entrance has been revealed, you’re gonna need a blank to burst it open. Make sure that you are uncovering a secret room, as wasting blanks in Enter the Gungeon could really harm your run.

The blank’s divine explosion should burst away the entrance, granting you safe passage into the secret room.
