How To Find Salamence Paradox Form In Pokemon Scarlet

In search of Roaring Moon

There are a lot of really cool regional forms in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Perhaps the coolest and most unique however is the Paradox form of Salemence, known as Roaring Moon. Salemence has always been a huge fan favorite and this new alternate version makes it even cooler and desirable to catch. Being a Psueod-Legendary already, normal Salemence is hard to catch and Roaring Moon is no different. While it telling you how to find it maybe easy, you’ll still have to work long and hard to get to obtain this one. Here’s how to find Salamenece’s Paradox form Roaring Moon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to find Roaring Moon

It is important to state that Roaring Moon is technically a single evolution form. You can not evolve into it from Bagon and Sheldon. Perhaps this is why its called a “paradox” form. Also, while you can find the Bagon/Salemence evolutionary line in Violet only, you can only find Roaring Moon in Scarlet. So if you want one or the other, you might need to offer a copy for trade to your friend who has the corresponding game.

You can only get Roaring Moon after you’ve beaten your game’s storyline. Once you’ve completed that, you will need to go to the Zero Gate location near the crater and Area Zero. You will take the teleport pad to Research Station 3.

Once in Station 3, you’ll stay to the left side of the path ahead of you till you find a tree with large rocks near it. Between these rocks is a small hidden tunnel path to a hidden cave. Inside that cave is the Paradox Salemence, aka Roaring Moon.

Roaring Moon is still technically a rare spawn, so it may take a while between the entrance of the cave and the waterfall in the back. The first time it may spawn pretty soon, but spawning more than once may take a long time if you want more than one.
