It may seem that finding Mirage Island or getting it to spawn in general is almost random and happens rarely. However, there are a couple of things you must take into account in order to find Mirage Island in a timely manner and also getting it to spawn in general. Most importantly, you have to be sailing a boat in the Third Sea and preferably not being near to any island. This is because, if you are near to one, there won’t be enough space for Mirage Island to spawn.
The best way to sail is to do it in the outskirts of the ocean and always look between islands in order to find it. While doing this, you will create a decent amount of space between islands in order to identify Mirage Island as soon as possible. Just be sure to keep your distance and, once identified and located, travel all the way to Mirage Island.
