How To Find Another Way To Meet Takechi in Like a Dragon: Ishin

Face your greatest foe.

Usually, games introduce the game’s antagonist earlier in the game, maybe a couple of chapters down the story progression. Typically, you will get to face him, and he will crush you, only to come back more powerful and be able to defeat him at the final boss battle later in the game. However, getting to interact and be part of the same organization as the antagonist? Well, that brings interesting drama and some very deep story oportunities. Here is how to find another way to meet Takechi in Like a Dragon: Ishin.

How To Find Another Way To Meet Takechi

Before progressing through the main story, you will have to meet with Takechi in Chapter 1. He is in fact the main antagonist of the game and the leader of the Tosa Loyalist Party, a political organization featured in the game. Finding him is not as straightforward as getting to the objective marker and talking with him, so you will have to do some stuff in order to get to him. After all, meeting the leader of a very powerful organization is not as meeting a friend to get some drinks.

You will have to talk to the man that is in front of Chitose Provisions. He will direct you towards the dojo that is housing Takechi, located at northeast Tosa. You will travel there, only to find that a guard prevents you from going in. That is where the “another way” enters the equation. Return to the main street and head to the wooden gate at the east. You will find some ronin harassing a shopkeeper. Furthermore, they claim they belong to Takechi’s dojo, so that means you will get to fight them. Once you do, they will tell you that they were bluffing, however, one member of Takechi’s named Shimada Yahei will be impressed by your actions. He will unlock the way to Takechi, so go ahead and return to the dojo and you will be welcomed in.

And that’s pretty much it! The battle can get a little tricky if you are not familiar with the controls, however, it serves as a tutorial as well, so you won’t have any problem traversing through it. Just go ahead and visit the dojo, and you won’t face any blocks anymore.
