How to Find and Defeat Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy – Combat Guide

Enemy and boss battles can be iconic or frustrating, depending mostly on strategy or the lack there of. The Wizarding World has fantastic beasts that are not quite friendly, and we must deal with them appropriately. Most will recommend avoiding any contact with any of these dangerous creatures. But, come on! This is an action role-playing game! The action is not there just for decor! Therefore, let us go for some Trolls, in complete disregard of our safety, health, and our lives in general. Here is how to find and defeat Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Find and Defeat Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy

Trolls are one of the iconic enemies you will be able to fight with in the new Wizarding World game, Hogwarts Legacy. In the game, you will face a couple of Trolls thanks to your exploring and a couple of mandatory fights as well. For example, when you visit Hogsmeade, you will fight Armoured Trolls in the first hours of the game. That’s a mandatory encounter, not a location to look for Trolls per se. If you wish to find some Trolls, you must travel northwest of Hogsmeade, near to the Fast Travel point in North Ford Bog Entrance.

Ok, that’s great! You have found Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy. But wait, you have to fight them! How will you do that? Well, actually, it is quite simple, but you must master a couple of skills. Firstly, the fight will be a dodge-a-mania. The Troll will take any chance to perform a Running Attack, so you have to dodge him as soon as you can. While the Troll is far away, you can use your Stupefy attacks to deal some damage. Furthermore, you can use Accio to pick up objects such as boulders to throw them at the Troll. The Protego spell can also be of help if you find yourself struggling with dodging. Once the Troll’s health is drained, use Ancient Magic to finish it off.

And that’s it! Basically, dodge his attacks when he comes running at you or uses its club, and then use spells to attack from a distance. These ranged attacks will ultimately be the demise of the Troll. Obviously, being able to dodge will also cause the Troll to hit a wall or other stuff, so if he gets stunned, hit him with everything you have. Good luck with the Trolls!
