Pickin' Sunflora.

Gym Leaders sure have gotten demanding these days. In my day, you’d just march into a Gym, beat everyone up, and walk out with a badge, but now the Leaders have you doing all kinds of wacky tests. Take the Artazon Gym in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, for instance. Here’s how to find all 10 Sunflora at Artazon’s Gym in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

When you arrive at the Artazon City Gym, you’ll be informed by the attendant at the desk that, before you can challenge the Gym Leader, you’ll need to complete Gym Test. This is a special, non-battle-focused trial you need to finish in order to prove you’re worth the Leader’s time. These tests are more about wits and perseverance than raw Pokemon strength, so get ready to put on your thinking cap.

For Artazon’s Gym, you need to play a game of Sunflora Hide-and-Seek. It’s exactly what it sounds like: the 10 Sunflora living on the city’s Sunflora lawn will run off and hide around the city. They’re all within the city’s limits, and you can ride your Ride Pokemon around to make things a little quicker.

How to Complete Artazon’s Gym Test

To get things started, visit the Sunflora Lawn, located to the immediate right of the Gym. Talk to the attendant standing out front to get things started and send the Sunflora off to their hiding spots.

  1. From the Sunflora Lawn, head to the big playground right next to it. Run under the far playground setup, and you’ll find the first Sunflora.
  2. Look behind the Gym building, right next to the playground, and you’ll see the second Sunflora standing on top of a pot.
  3. West from the second Sunflora, you’ll find the third Sunflora eyeing up the vending machines next to the swimming pool.
  4. Head east from the pool and up the ramp, and you’ll spot the fourth Sunflora hiding behind a small tree. You’ll have to beat this one in a battle before it’ll join you.
  5. Head northward around the bend from where the fourth Sunflora was and head under the overhang. Past the bench, you’ll find the fifth Sunflora standing by one of the overhang’s support beams.
  6. Right across from the fifth Sunflora is a small pond, where the sixth Sunflora is hanging out.
  7. Look on the wooden deck above the pond, right across from the sixth Sunflora, to find the seventh Sunflora.
  8. Head east from the deck to the circular hedge maze and use your Ride Pokemon jump up onto the wall. You should find the eighth Sunflora standing on a pot in a dead end located northeast from the maze’s center.
  9. Follow the maze path back around the bend until you reach the center, and enter the small pagoda to find the ninth Sunflora in a pot.
  10. Use your Ride Pokemon to jump back onto the maze’s wall and make your way to the main entrance to the south. You’ll find the tenth and final Sunflora hanging out right at the entrance.

Once you’ve found all 10 Sunflora, lead them back to the Sunflora Lawn and talk to the attendant to complete the Gym Test! You now have the right to challenge Brassius, the Artazon Gym Leader. He’s a Grass-type Trainer if all the Sunflora didn’t tip you off.
