As you continue to play through the various quests, you’ll be given the option to expand your abode. But, also like in New Horizons, it won’t come cheap! How to Expand a House in Dreamlight Valley

In order to play the game of capitalism, you’ll have to do a favor for the king of capitalism, Scrooge McDuck. If you complete the Dreamlight Valley Economy 101 quest, McDuck will install an elevator within your house. Kinda intrusive, but OK. This is where you’re gonna be glad you’ve been collecting Star Coins.

It’d seem that each expansion of your floor plan will cost more, so save up a pile of change before you start to renovate. It’s really that simple; the biggest challenge will be acquiring the required currency to spend. But, there are multiple methods of farming Star Coins, so give one of them a shot!

How to Farm Star Coins

There are two reliable methods of acquiring Star Coins easily: Mining Gemstones and Catching Fish. If you find gemstones embedded in deposits, you can potentially sell them for over 600 Star Coins! If mining isn’t your thing, you can always go fishing! In certain cases, fish can sell for 600 to 800 Star Coins! In any case, make your coins work for you and you’ll be able to fully expand your house in no time!
