Scatterbug may not seem like much at first, but once it reaches its final evolution, you’ll be blown away at this Bug-type Pokémon’s skill! To reach its third and final evolution, however, you first need to reach its second evolution. Thankfully, this Pokémon evolves rather easily, so you won’t have to worry about taking any extra steps when evolving it. Keep reading to find out how to evolve Scatterbug in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet!
How to Evolve Scatterbug in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Scatterbugs are some of the very first Pokémon you’ll come across in this game, so they’re an easy choice for anyone who wants to start building up their team as early as possible. They may not seem like much at first, but they make surprisingly good team members, especially for those who are fond of Bug-type Pokémon. Also, their final evolution is really cool!
Thankfully, evolving Scatterbug is, for the most part, a quick and easy process. Assuming you’ve already caught your Scatterbug, all you need to do to get it to evolve its second evolution, Spewpa, is level it up to at least level 9. The best way to do this will always be through battling, though there are other methods of gaining EXP for your Pokémon, such as Rare Candies, Picnics, and utilizing the EXP Share. Once your Scatterbug reaches level 9, it should automatically evolve into Spewpa.

How to Get Scatterbug’s Final Evolution
Scatterbug’s third and final evolution is Vivillon, a surprisingly competent Flying/Bug-type Pokémon. These butterfly-like Pokémon carry a variety of patterns and colors on their wings, you never know what your Vivillon will look like until you evolve it! Vivillon evolves from Spewpa starting at level 12, which means you only have to wait for 3 more levels after you evolve your Scatterbug into a Spewpa.
Battling will always be the most efficient way of leveling up your Pokémon early-game, but if you’re a bit farther in the game, feel free to use some Rare Candies or the Picnic feature if you don’t feel like battling with a Bug-type Pokémon for that long.
