How to evolve Lechonk in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Let's Le'change Lechonk

One of the first unveiled Pokemon for Scarlet and Violet was the now-loved pudgy piglet Lechonk. Its name alone was enough to make it an instant favorite for many. A very simple but masterful use of wordplay, Lechonk is a combination of the Spanish word for pig, Lechon, and the modern slang term for fat or heavy, chonky. Thus Lechonk was born and waddled its way into many Pokemon fans’ hearts and minds. Naturally many are waiting to see what this pleasant porker evolves into and we’ve got just that info for you. Here’s how to evolve Lechonk in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Evolving Lechonk

Evolving Lechonk is actually very straightforward. Lechonk is a basic single-evolution Pokemon you’ll see in early areas of the game. All you have to do is reach level 18. However, Lechonk is one of those unique Pokemon that have specific gender evolutions that look quite different from each other.

Lechonk’s evolution is known as Oinkolonge. This is clearly a play on the nature and abilities of the Lechonk line of being sweet-smelling pigs.

If you have a male Lechonk, the male version of an Oinkolongue will have dark blue and black skin. Their ears are used to cover most of its face though there is still a melancholy expression from what you can see of them. This looks very reminiscent of the iconic donkey Eeyore, but you know, as a pig.

The female Oinkolonge is of a more light and dark brown color. Unlike their male counterpart, you can see their face. There is a feminine design under the eyes that resembles makeup. Their tail is spiraling up and splits into three prongs at the end.

That’s all there is to the Lechonk evolution line. Just keep in mind if you want the male or female design when it comes to catching one for your party.
