How to Earn Hacksilver Quickly in God of War Ragnarök

Give me the money.

When I played God of War (2018), one of the things that surprised me, and in a very positive and pleasantly way, is that the game adopted several RPG elements such as the ability to upgrade your armor and also have skill trees for both Kratos and Atreus. In God of War Ragnarök, these elements return, and I’m very happy about it. Having said that, if you know a little thing or two about RPGs, is that in order to upgrade your character or weapon, you’re going to have to look for several resources throughout the world. Some even very rare and found on extreme locations. However, if an element is always used for everything RPG related, is the game’s currency. In God of War’s case, that’s Hacksilver. And spoilers ahead, you’re going to need a lot of it in order to max out your armor and weapons. Here is how to earn Hacksilver quickly in God of War Ragnarök.

How to Earn Hacksilver Quickly in God of War Ragnarök

A general rule before I lay the steps down: it’s all about exploration. Don’t be shy of deviating from the main story, the side stories in God of War Ragnarök are packed with great moments and also, great rewards. Explore every single inch of the world. You will certainly find sufficient Hacksilver funds to max out your favorite perks. Anyway, here are some ground rules you should follow to earn Hacksilver quickly in God of War Ragnarök.

The Golden Rules (or Hacksilver Rules)

  • You’re going to take a hint from Link in OOT and pretty much destroy every thing in your path. Vases, furniture, barrels, granny’s cookie jar. Everything. This will grant you a small amounts of Hacksilver, yes, but with time you will garner wealth. Thankfully, you would not get sued for damages and public disturbance.
  • Sell what you don’t need. You can be nostalgic and keep your lower rated armor. After all, you killed your very first troll with it. But hey, you could be making a lot of money by selling it to Brok and Sindri. They will never say no to that! Armor, Weapon Parts, Crafting Materials, even Artifacts (they will pay a lot for those). You name it, they will buy it.
  • Become the chest master. I’m a simple man, I see a chest, I open it. Follow this same rule, and you will be rich in no time. But in order to achieve that, you will have to, yes, explore. The best things in life are not right within our reach or right before our eyes, and that goes for chests as well.
  • Loot the bodies of your foes. You will be fighting a lot of enemies here and there, and they usually carry some Hacksilver, so make sure to collect it, once you’re done killing them. Otherwise, that’s stealing.

With this basic rules, you are going to be the Hacksilver kingpin of the Nine Realms. So make sure to explore them all, and become the God of Coin. Cha-ching.
