How to Defeat Shamura in Cult of the Lamb

Five Becomes Four Becomes Three Becomes Two Becomes One Becomes Nothing.

In Cult of the Lamb, there are four Bishops who stand in the way of The One Who Waits. Between Leshy, Heket, Kallamar, and Shamura, these false prophets will do everything they can to prevent your malicious benefactor from being freed. So, it’s up to you to systematically take them and their minions down.

In the creepy-crawly caverns of the Silk Cradle, where Shamura idles, you’ll face three mini bosses before you encounter the Bishop. These mini bosses are usually larger versions of mob enemies you face in the Lands of the Old Faith. But, they can also be converted to your cult upon their defeat, so they’re worth fighting. Here’s what you can expect from the battle against the final Bishop, Shamura.

How to Beat Shamura

It’s time to end this. Shamura is the last of the four Bishops of the Old Faith, and honestly, if you exploit the “infinite” hearts glitch, they’re a pushover. If you’ve mastered the fight against the spider mobs, then this battle shouldn’t give you much grief. Just make sure you stay mobile and attack when you can!!

Shamura’s primary ability involves tossing a legion of bombs. But, like with other moves of this type, you can easily dodge them as long as you stay out of the projected targets. They may try to lunge at you with their razor-blade arms, but the range is limited. Their tertiary ability might seem familiar — Shamura will use their string to launch themselves out of the arena, but they won’t project where they’ll land. So, make sure you’re dodge-rolling like you would with any other boss, and you should be able to avoid damage.

If you thought that was it, you’ve got another thing coming. Shamura can also spit out acid bullets that will rain on the ground near them, but again, as long as you stay out of the targets range, you’ll be fine. They wouldn’t be a boss in Cult of the Lamb if they couldn’t send out waves of fire bullets, in addition. Lastly, this boss may begin jumping into the air and slamming on the ground. Just continue to dodge-roll, and ensure that you’re not in the exact same place Shamura is when they land.

If you can avoid becoming Spider-Lamb, you’ll claim this final Bishop’s heart, and the time for ascension will be nigh. Head back to the cult, and get ready for the toughest battle yet.
