The recent Toy Story update in Disney Dreamlight Valley knows how to bring out your inner child; by building race car tracks and searching for Ice Pop Sticks. Woody is one of the much-loved Disney characters, and he has a little quest for you; if you’ve ever wanted to build a Blanket Fort with some of your favorite Disney or Pixar characters, now is your chance. This guide will show you how to complete The Illumination quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Complete the Illumination Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To begin this quest, you will need to find Woody and interact with him. Woody will give you your first task: examine the toy chest in the Carousel. In the Carousel, the wooden chest will be located on the left side of the room; interact with it and pick up the “Old Ruler’s Lost Diary Page.” When you examine the Diary Page, you will learn that the toy chest is filled with childhood memorabilia from the Villagers and gives power to the Carousel’s lights using Merlin’s magic.

After that, speak to Woody, who will instruct you to get a childhood item from three Villagers: Moana, Ariel, and Kristoff. The items you will gather from them are the following: Conch, Music Box, and Tiny Troll Figure, respectively. Once you have given the three items to Woody, you will need to gather materials to make a Blanket Fort.
Here are the items you will need to gather to craft a Blanket Fort:
- Softwood 40x: Gathered from all Biomes.
- Cotton 5x: Grown in the Sunlight Plateau.
- Fabric 4x: 10x Cotton per item.
- Rope 4x: Crafted using 8x Fiber per item.
- Glass 5x: Crafted using 5x Sand and 1x Coal Ore per item.
Now that you have acquired your items go into your Furniture Menu of the Crafting Recipes to create the Blanket Fort for Woody. Afterward, you can place the fort anywhere you prefer and take a picture with Buzz and Woody. Finally, interact with Woody, and the quest will be complete.
