The Black Mous Espionage Mission is just one of the many Missions that you can complete in DMZ. These Missions offer different rewards depending on the Faction and Tier Mission you are completing. As you progress through the Tiers, the rewards grow in rarity. Including that of obtaining Contraband and higher XP. This final Tier 2 Mission offers its players the rewards of the Triage Operator Skin and 15,000 XP. This is our guide on how to easily beat the Black Mous Espionage Mission in Warzone’s DMZ.
The Black Mous Espionage Mission Summary
This Espionage Mission is part of the Black Mous Faction Missions. Specifically this is the final mission of Tier 2. If you have not arrived to this mission yet, you must first complete the entirety of Tier 1 Missions and the Tier 2 Missions of:
- On Rails
- Silent Killer
- Custom Hardware
- Down and Out
- Weapons Case
- Based
The objectives for this Espionage Mission are as follows:
- Enter the Sattiq Poppy Farmer House and obtain the laptop.
- Deliver laptop to the drop (dumpster located near the train tracks outside of the small village).
- Return the laptop after installing rootkit via USB device to its original spot inside the Farmer House.
The initial objective requires players to find the appropriate key to unlocking and entering the Farmer House. To get this key you need to complete one of the crucial missions of White Lotus Faction titled the Robin Hood Mission (Tier 3). This key is a guaranteed reward for completing this Tier 3 Mission. However, for those who have no yet completed any White Lotus Missions, we recommend trying to obtain this through random looting. You can either eliminate high-value enemies (those that take longer to down, including that of armored enemies) or loot bags, crates and caches. Both processes depending on how far you are into the White Lotus Missions can be a long process to obtaining this Espionage key.
How to Complete the Black Mous Espionage
Now that you have obtained the Farmer House key, you can go ahead and start the final mission of Tier 2’s Black Mous Faction. We recommend playing with friends for this mission as it is harder than the rest of the Tier 2 Faction Missions. Also, playing with a team will increase your chances of survival. Should you enter the mission and die, the key will be lost and you will have to obtain it again through looting.
First Objective: Find the Politician’s Laptop
The Sattiq Farmer House is located north-west of the Sattiq Cave Complex. This specific house is locating on a hill around a small group of houses. Refer to the image below for an exact location of the house you need to find (green icon with ‘1’).
Upon entering the building you will find the laptop on the floor of the corner in the main room. You can also loot caches in the room for extra supplies.
Second Objective: Find the Drop Point
What you need to do next upon leaving the building is to find the drop point. We know from the objectives that this is located near the train tracks outside of the small village. Therefore, what you need to do first is find yourself a vehicle. From the Farmer House you need to head south, crossing the bridge into Al Samman Cemetery. Once again, refer to the image below for an exact location of the dumpster where you need to drop off the laptop to install the rootkit (red arrow and circle of the building you need). The dumpster is located on the southern side of the building, outside.
You need to go up to the dumpster and interact to bring up the dead drop window. Here it will open your inventory where you should place the Politician’s Laptop inside. Do NOT close the drop box screen, the laptop will already have the rootkit installed upon placing it inside. You can now remove it from the dead drop slot, putting it back into your inventory. Closing the screen before picking the laptop back up could result in a bug which makes the laptop disappear from the the dead drop window.
Third Objective: Return Laptop to the Farmer House
All you have to do here is drive north, crossing the bridge once more and return to the Farmer House. When you get back to the house you need to place the laptop down in the exact spot you found it in. To do this, walk up to the spot and press your interact key/button. You may need to press it twice for the laptop to be placed into the correct spot. Once down, the final objective will be ticked off and this mission is complete.
