How to Collect All Shields in Lil Gator Game

For blocking and sledding purposes.

Maybe this is just a me thing, but every time I held up some manner of large, flat object in my youth, I felt compelled to hold it up like a shield. In the hands of a dreamer, a simple plastic sled becomes a mighty bulwark of justice. If you don’t have a proper shield handy, there are lots of other things you can try! Here’s how to collect all shields in Lil Gator Game.

How to Collect All Shields in Lil Gator Game

Just like your weapons and hats in Lil Gator Game, you can receive and craft a variety of different shields to suit your heroic tastes. Rather than blocking projectiles, shields are primarily intended for sliding down slopes at high speed, a practical and awesome form of travel. Every shield is functionally identical, but that means you’re free to use whichever one you like!

The Pot Lid

The Pot Lid is your default shield, given to you by Martin after completing his hastily-concocted fetch quest in the tutorial. Go to the pot, bring back the lid, boom, it’s a shield.

The Art Palette

Near the playground, you’ll find Robin in a pond surrounded by cardboard monsters. Smash the monsters for them, and they’ll reward you with the Art Palette recipe.

The Inner Tube

Go find Ssumantha on a small island off the coast of the mountainous area of the island. She’ll ask you to perform a few bounces on the water with your shield. Get a running start and whip out your shield in the air to bounce on the water. For the spectacle, she’ll give you the Inner Tube recipe.

The Platter

When you meet up with Jill’s friends, talk to Gene the chipmunk. He’ll ask you to smash the nearby shape monsters to find a triangle. When you find the triangle (which is half a cheese sandwich), bring it to Gene to get the Platter.

The Skateboard

Talk to Skate Pug on a small, rocky island near the coast. They’ll point you to a race marker at the top of the hill and ask you to sled down the hill while knocking down all the monsters. Succeed, and you’ll get the Skateboard recipe.

Martin

When you meet up with Martin and his friends at the water play area, he’ll ask you to activate the three nearby water pumps. One of these pumps is guarded by Lucas, who is practicing talking to Martin. Give him some encouraging words, then smack his cardboard cutout of Martin to get it as a shield.

The Chessboard

Find the bird person in a wheelchair near the playground. They’re playing chess, and challenge you to match wits against them. Just smack the board with your weapon and they’ll concede, giving you the Chessboard recipe.

The Big Leaf

While you’re looking for the pumps at Martin’s behest, you’ll meet his friend Jada, who’s trying to help an ailing tree. Cut down some nearby grass and plants to get Sticks and Grass for her, then swim in deep water to fill the bucket she gives you. Finally, knock down the Junk 4 Trash sign at the top of the hill to give the tree some sunlight. You’ll get a leaf from the tree as a reward.

The Trampoline

You can purchase the Trampoline from Roy’s Junk 4 Trash stand for 299 scraps.

The Trash Can Lid

You can purchase the Trash Can Lid from Roy’s Junk 4 Trash stand for 299 scraps.

The Scooter Board

Atop the rock bridges of the mountainous area, talk to Kasen the bird kid. He dropped his scooter board off the cliff, so jump down and find it amongst some cardboard monsters. The scooter board will be busted up, but he’ll be happy if you bring it back anyway, giving you the recipe for the Scooter Board.
