Changing Seasons in The Sims 4

If you want to change seasons because you’re sick of your Sim dying from heat exhaustion or freezing to death while accidentally wearing the wrong clothes, there’s a way to do it. When we play the game we personally like keeping everything the way it is. Whatever happens, is just how it was supposed to play out if this was real life. If you like tweaking your game and you want longer or shorter seasons here’s how you can change the setting.

If you want to change the season because you’re over the heat or you’re over the cold, head into your game options settings. Once there, click on Environment and scroll through the different options. There’s a way to change the lunar cycle, and seasons, and enable weather conditions. In seasons you can choose how long you want the season to last or if you want it to snow and rain.

Cheats for Seasons in The Sims 4

In every Sim game, you can use cheats in order to adjust certain settings or give you money. There are even cheats to literally control the weather. In order to activate cheats you need to open up your cheat menu by pressing CTRL + Shift + C if you’re on a PC or CMD + Shift + C for MAC. To turn on cheats for console players press all four shoulder buttons.

Type in the cheat: testingcheats on

You can now change your season by using these cheats:

  • seasons.set_season X (Change X to 0 for summer, 1 for fall, 2 for winter, or 3 for spring.)
  • seasons.advance_season (Goes to the next season)
  • weather.summon_lightning_strike (random lightning strikes)
