How to Change Positions in MLB The Show 22

It’s completely natural to fantasize about playing one position, only to realize halfway through that there’s a completely different position you’d rather play. I mean, real-life athletes do this all the time. Unfortunately, while it is possible, MLB The Show 2 doesn’t make it easy to change positions in Road to The Show.

Here are the three quickest ways to do it.

#1 – Talk to your agent

Firstly, you should try to discuss this situation with your agent. Your agent is responsible for ensuring you have a long and fruitful career. So, if you feel that you’d be better off playing another position, you should let them know. They will check in with you every now and then to see how you are doing. This means that when they contact you, just tell them about the situation, and you could be able to change positions this way.

Your agent will relay this information to management, and if your OVR stats are high enough, then you will be allowed to change your position in Road to The Show. Although, while this is a good way to take control of the situation, it’s also more than likely to piss off some of your teammates. So, you’ll want to make sure that you maintain a solid relationship with your team if you plan on going this route.

#2 – Take your manager’s deal

Alternatively, you can try to talk to your manager directly about this. As you progress through your MLB career, your manager will present you with the opportunity to try out different positions in the game and see how you like it. After the experimental switch, you will be given the option to either accept the change, reject it, or suggest a new position.

So, the easiest way to not make waves with teammates by changing positions is to accept your manager’s offer. This will be a smooth transition since you’ll be filling a position of need for the ballclub, and changing positions to one that may better suit your playstyle.

#3 – Create a new player

If the two aforementioned options don’t work, then your last resort should be to create a brand-new ballplayer. No matter how far you’ve progressed through the game, it’s never fun to force yourself to play a position you don’t like. So, sometimes the best option is to just start over from scratch.
