How to Catch Ghost Orbs in Demonologist

That is a giant manifestation of energy

If Ghost Orbs looked like the ones in Demonologist in real life instead, we all would believe in the supernatural. These one-foot Orbs are easy-to-spot but hard-to-catch as they fly around the haunted place in Demonologist. But the task at hand is to collect the Ghost Orbs to hit a very specific Objective in the match. You may not have seen these yet due to their random spawn as an Optional Objective, but for those who have been in the presence of these quick-moving Orbs have a hard task at hand. This guide will show you how to collect the Ghost Orbs so that you can perform an Exorcism in Demonologist.

What is a Ghost Orb?

A Ghost Orb is the physical appearance of an entity’s energy, entrapped into a ball of light that floats around. You may have seen these in Ghost Hunting TV Shows or more likely in Phasmophobia. But one of the most important questions you have to ask is whether you are observing the manifestation of a ghost or more likely dust captured on a camera. But the presence of a Ghost Orb in Demonologist is damning evidence, especially after capturing the entity on the ESG Device a couple of minutes prior to the Orb invasion. But unlike how reality portrays this energy, the Orbs in Demonologist are gigantic that you have to wonder, how big was the entity to manifest such a big Orb?

The Ghost Orbs randomly spawn in upon guessing the Entity Type in a match. Since v0.3.0, Clock Wizard Games have made the choice to add a set of randomized Objectives so that the game is no longer predictable nor are you repeatedly completing the same Objective to get unlock the Exorcism. Now players will have to complete different Objectives including the gathering of items or the collection of these Ghost Orbs.

How to Catch a Ghost Orb

The Ghost Orbs in Demonologist require you to catch them in order to unlock the Exorcism Objective. These can appear in any Map and randomly spawn. Luckily you do not need a specific Tool to collect the Ghost Orbs. In fact, you can just go ahead and grab them by your sheer will so long as you are standing over the Orb itself. The Orbs will float around the haunted place, weaving in and out of rooms making them difficult collect. We recommend that you go to narrow corridors rather than standing in an open room when collecting an Orb. Players will need to click ‘B‘ when the Orb is close enough for you to grab.

Using smaller spaces and corridors will allow you to easily catch the Ghost Orb instead of running around trying to grab it as it weaves in and out of the larger rooms such as Lobbies and Living areas. You should repeatedly click ‘B’ to grab instead of trying to time it perfectly when the Orb is directly in front of/ you are standing over it.
