How to Catch Eel in Dave the Diver

Dave the Diver is an RPG that focuses on exploring the deep sea, running a sushi restaurant, and discovering secrets surrounding the island. There are plenty of fish in the sea that can be used as ingredients for your sushi restaurant. You play Dave who is a diver and the main character in the game; hence the name. The type of fish you catch can positively impact your restaurant, and one of the fish you can catch is the eel. We’re going to teach you how to catch the eel in Dave the Diver.

Where to Find the Eel in Dave the Diver

If you’re having trouble trying to find the eel, don’t worry. We’ve been there. Finding the eel requires a bit of patience and determination. In order to find the eel you’re going to want to first grab a harpoon, secure a net, and make sure you’re able to fish at night. Catching eels can only be done at night and this ability can be unlocked by Duff’s Pink Delivery quests where you defeat a giant squid. Once you’ve completed this quest line you’ll be able to visit Otto and the Fish Farm.

After you have unlocked night fishing and Otto you’ll be able to enter the Blue Hole. This new area on the map will allow you to find various sea creatures that can only be discoverable at night. Once you’ve entered the Blue Hole you’ll need to look around the surface to find them. Eels are dangerous critters and can deal lots of damage so be sure to have an upgraded weapon handy. After you’ve hurt the eel you can use your harpoon or net to capture it.

How to Upgrade a Weapon in Dave the Diver

If you haven’t upgraded your weapon and you need to upgrade it immediately. To do this you need to acquire the weapon enhancement kits. You can upgrade either your gun or your melee weapon after you’ve gained access to these kits. Start looking around the ocean for yellow briefcases and click on them to get the enhancement kits. These are extremely useful to use for fish that require some extra physical altercations.
