How to Build an Outpost in Meet Your Maker

Building outposts just got a lot more fun.

Meet Your Maker is a first-person experience where you can raid with other players, defend your post, and build bases to prevent raiders from entering. Have you ever thought about what it would be like if you lived in a post-apocalyptic world? If you were living during this time you’d know that resources are scarce, and what’s left in the world is up for the taking. You’re not in a comfortable setting anymore and you’re trying desperately to defend yourself. Meet Your Maker focuses on building elements to prevail against nasty raiders. If you’re new to the game here’s how you can build an outpost in Meet Your Maker.

What you need to build outposts in Meet Your Maker

Building an outpost requires you to think outside the box. You’re going to want to come up with traps, clever designing mechanics, unpredictability, and guards. If you’re wanting to build the perfect base for your raiders you’re going to want to start farming for Synthite. With enough Synthithe, you will be able to purchase a burial ground that can cost you up to 1000 parts, although, there are alternatives.

You can build pretty large bases but that means you need to spend a little more on them. The cheapest burial site you can get runs about 600 parts. If you purchase larger burial sites your build limit will increase. There is a build limit so be mindful of what you’re adding to your game. After you have purchased a burial site, it’s time to build an outpost! Think of adding traps to boost your defense or Augment guards such as an Enforcer who can deal lots of damage. After you have constructed the perfect base you need to just make your outpost live.

What is the point of outposts in Meet Your Maker?

Outposts are incredibly useful in the game if you’re trying to protect yourself from raiders. You can also implement a system that allows you to go into Overdrive mode. This only means that you will lose GenMat (genetic material) whenever someone takes over your outpost. If you prove to become successful in this endeavor you can get at least 100% more rewards.

Outposts will also give you genetic material over time and you can earn prestige. Prestige will help you boost your build limit.  When you boost your build limit you’re given the opportunity to make your outpost stronger than others and a force to be reckoned with. You can level up your outpost and earn rewards from successful raids.
