Choose an Archetype
There are hundreds of Archetypes within the Yu-Gi-Oh! world! However, they all look so fascinating which makes the player’s choice so much harder! From Dragons such as Dragunity and Blue-Eyes, to Spellcasters such as Dark Magician and Magistus, there is something there for all Yu-Gi-Oh! fans. Want to be more competitive? Check out our top 5 decks which include specific archetypes.
Use Some Staple Cards
Cards such as Monster Reborn, Twin Twisters, and Raigeki, are known in the Yu-Gi-Oh! community as Staples. These cards are so versatile and powerful that you can include in any deck, just balance them out in terms of what you need e.g. Monster destruction or Spell and Trap removal.
Handtraps
Handtraps are undoubtedly the most important type of card in Yu-Gi-Oh! currently! Cards like Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Effect Veiler and Infinite Impermanence are crucial to your path to Diamond rank! Handtraps can completely change the game, stopping your opponents’ combo, or gaining an advantage during your turn.
Practise makes Perfect
Finally, just practice with your deck in both ranked and casual gameplay, and get to Diamond rank as quickly as possible!
