Use Some Staple Cards

Cards such as Monster Reborn, Twin Twisters, and Raigeki, are known in the Yu-Gi-Oh! community as Staples. These cards are so versatile and powerful that you can include in any deck, just balance them out in terms of what you need e.g. Monster destruction or Spell and Trap removal.

Handtraps

Handtraps are undoubtedly the most important type of card in Yu-Gi-Oh! currently! Cards like Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring, Effect Veiler and Infinite Impermanence are crucial to your path to Diamond rank! Handtraps can completely change the game, stopping your opponents’ combo, or gaining an advantage during your turn.
