How to Unlock Maruto Cuts in Vampire Survivors: Tides of the Foscari

Maruto Cuts is one of the new Characters for the second Vampire Survivors DLC. With his Great Sword and the ability to destroy Seals, similar to that of Keitha. Each Character within the DLC is obtained through a specific set of steps, being that you should locate and unlock Eleanor first, then Maruto and finally Keitha for the Foscari Stage Seals. Maruto Cuts is unlocked by using Eleanor in the Lake Foscari Stage and locating her three Weapons – SpellString, SpellStrom and SpellStrike. These can be unlocked at Level 10 and 20 but SpellStrom is located within a Chest in Lake Foscari, thus uniting all three Weapons.

Maruto will now be unlocked upon the union of the three Weapons and you will be able to use him to break the Seal within Abyss Foscari. But first you need to unlock this secret part of the DLC.

How to Unlock Abyss Foscari

The Abyss Foscari is a secret extension of the Lake Foscari Stage and it is only accessible via the Green Gem of the Lake. But you will find that nothing can break the Gem aside from Keitha, another new Character and the wielder of the Bow and Arrow. Upon finding the Seal of the Lake (giant Green Gem), you need to evolve the Flash Arrow and Eskizzibur into the Millionaire and Legionnaire, these are done by achieving its Max Level on the Weapon itself and Passive Items. You also need the Spellstrom but you can find that in the Lake Foscari Map, inside a Treasure Chest, so you should have that Weapon already when uniting Eleanor’s Weapons.

The use of these three Weapons are crucial to breaking Seals within the Tides of the Foscari DLC as both Keitha and Maruto will use these to progress through the story. When breaking the Seal, stand in front of the Gem and strafe left and right for the Seal breaking animation. The Abyss Foscari will now be unlocked.

Where to Find and Break the Seal of the Abyss in Abyss Foscari Stage

The Seal of the Abyss can be found within the Abyss as it is so appropriately named. In this part of the Map however, players require Sword-bearer Maruto to break the Red Gem Seal. The Gem can be found in the southern point of the Map. If you have the Milky Way Map this will help you here as you can follow the Crowns directly to take you only the right path. Head left from the Crown Icons and you should head across the Bridge to locate the Red Gem Seal of the Abyss.

Just like opening the Seal of the Lake, use Keitha and perform the Seal break animation by strafing in front of the Red Gem. The ancient and powerful Luminaire Foscari will release from the Seal and become a playable Character for you to use in Vampire Survivors.
