Following Kim’s breaking of the circle when the members of the retreat begin the chant, you’ll start to peel back the layers of all of the evil playing in the background of this game’s world. There is no other moment that truly reflects that best as when you come face to face with a possessed Kim in the Cannery. And if you’re struggling in figuring out how to beat possessed Kim in The Chant, we can help!

How to Beat Possessed Kim in The Chant

The Cannery moments of The Chant are really where things heat up for Jess as she not only confronts supernatural enemies and cultists but her own friend Kim. Following a bit of puzzle-solving where you find the Dodecahedron Key pieces as well as the Cannery Key, eventually gaining access to the Cannery’s main building, you’ll actually find Kim and confront her.

Though confronting Kim is easier said than done as she’s been mysteriously possessed by an unknown being, resulting in her attacking you, sparking a battle. Fighting possessed Kim isn’t the same as when fighting the supernatural cultist enemies though, as there are some specific ways you’ll need to attack her in order to try and exorcize her of this possession.

As you fight Kim, you’ll need to utilize your Sage Stick as this will fend her off you. Your goal is to knock her back with it towards each of the 3 lit candles around the room. Each time you move her into one, you’ll be prompted to hit the action button in order to burn her with it.

Finally, after burning her with all three candles, you’ll need to hit her the same way, only toward the standing mirror this time. Once she’s close enough to it, you’ll be able to smash her face into it with the button prompt, defeating her for good. Kim is a fast enemy, though if you dodge her attacks and pummel her with the Sage Stick, it’s not too difficult a fight.
