How to Beat Arlena in Midnight Fight Express

Nearing the middle point of the game, players will board a cargo ship with various levels taking place on it. The penultimate conclusion to this stowaway battle-fest is a fight between the main character, who we’ve come to know by his nickname Baby-Face, and his past lover turned enemy, Arlena. She’s an agile foe, one who takes quite a bit of strategy to beat if you’re trying to complete her challenge.

She wields two stun batons that will slow you down if hit by them. She’s also a very quick attacker and utilizes acrobatics to quickly maneuver around the environment. Additionally, she blocks a lot so you’ll need to use ranged attacks. Luckily for you, this is the first boss fight that takes place in a larger area as you’re able to leave the starting location of the fight and move to the previous, large helicopter landing pad area of the ship.

If you want to get rid of her quickly, make sure you bring a gun with you into the boss fight and be prepared to grab the guns dropped by the enemies you’ll kill as Arlena comes with a few henchmen of her own. It’s a pretty easy fight as long as you dodge her attacks, maintain distance, and just shoot her a bunch and throw objects at her until you can finish her off.

If you’re trying to complete her challenge, it’s a bit more complicated as it calls for you to kill her without shooting her once. It’s not impossible, as there are tons of things to throw or slide at her around the boat. Most items you’ll be able to throw at her are going to be on the right side of the helicopter pad area. Just keep looking for things to throw at her and then finally go in for some hard hits towards the end of her life bar and you’re golden.
