As far as Star Coins go, they’re extremely common to find within Disney Dreamlight Valley. They pop up just about everywhere, which is a good thing considering they’re imperative to a fun experience within this game. You need them to purchase clothes, furniture, ingredients, and other useful resources throughout the Valley. They’re entirely free to earn, with no microtransactions needed in order to gain any.

You also use Star Coins in order to upgrade and invest in the many buildings around Dreamlight Valley which get the towns back up and running as usual. Upgrading buildings after they’ve been re-opened allows for them to carry more stock which means there’s more for you to buy at any given time.

Finding Star Coins is a pretty easy task as they can be found just sitting around Dreamlight Valley, ripe for the picking. Additionally, they typically reside within the Night Thorns as one of the random items they drop when destroyed or within yellow chests that give a hefty amount if found. You can also earn them through your leveling up or by your friendship with each character progressing.

The best place to get coins however, is by foraging for items, gardnening, mining, and cooking, as the items you find or create can be brought to Goofy at one of his many market stalls and sold for a pretty penny.
