How Events Work in Disney Dreamlight Valley

What are Events, really?

Most titles these days, especially the games-as-a-service titles, typically have some in-game events that help to drum up player interest. This helps to both maintain the players that still put time into them or serve as a way to bring back players that may have fallen off the wagon. These can be season passes, limited-timed cosmetic changes to the world for seasonal purposes, or even collaborations that result in great gameplay changes to freshen things up for a short time.

Though just entering its early access phase, Gameloft’s Disney Dreamlight Valley is already seemingly showing that it too will include these sorts of events in its life-sim world. Let’s discuss everything you need to know about how Events work in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How Events Work in Disney Dreamlight Valley

So far, when players begin their journey in Disney Dreamlight Valley, they can already find an Events tab from within their pause menu. Currently, all that appears on that page is the Pixar Fest Star Path. Star Paths act as Disney Dreamlight Valley’s own season pass, offering players Disney-themed rewards for completing challenges and earning Pixar Balls which work as the ticket system to unlock its many pages of rewards.

These Star Paths are completely free to complete but players can expedite the grind by purchasing a Premium Pass for 2,500 Moonstones, which is an in-game currency that will eventually have the option to be purchased with real-world money. Additionally, you can even buy a Premium Pass that includes even more Pixar Balls which you can use to unlock rewards to expedite things even quicker.

Star Paths seem to only run for just over a month, with this first Pixar Fest Star Path coming to a close on October 11th. As it goes currently, there has yet to be any information on what the next Star Path will be but with this current one ending in early October, it’s safe to assume that something Halloween related could make its way into the game. This would be a great indicator of how holidays could be handled in the future.

Aside from Star Paths, there also hasn’t been any indication of what other kinds of Events are on their way yet. Though, with a page available in the game dedicated to Events and not just Star Paths, other kinds of in-game Events could be on their way very soon. Players could see limited-timed seasonal changes as well as big gameplay enhancements similar to how Fortnite handles its events.

That’s all that there is to know about Events in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Hopefully, we see some great new things available soon!
