God of War Rangarök is about an epic story that may or may not (wink wink) impact everything we know about Norse mythology and God of War lore. But the game is also about finding secrets, getting rewards and collecting a bunch of stuff. With that being said, being able to unlock the best armor sets in the game not only feels like a great accomplishment, but also is the best way to survive the perils that the Nine Realms presents to you. One of those armor sets is the Steinbjorn Armor Set which will have you travel throughout several realms, battle a significant amount of enemies, and which will require you to play the game further in order to unlock it. Here is how to get the Steinbjorn Armor Set in God of War Ragnarök.
How to Get the Steinbjorn Armor Set
Don’t think you’re able to get the Steinbjorn (man, that’s a difficult name) Armor Set as soon as you click new game. You’re going to have to unlock the Draupnir Spear after completing the Forging Destiny main mission. Once you unlock it, follow these steps in order to unlock the Steinbjorn Armor Set.
- Travel to the Lake of Nine in Midgard. Go south and find a yellow-glowing ice block. Blow it up with the spear and collect the Mystical Heirloom. Equip it, so you’ll gain the ability to activate Troll Statues.
- You’re going to have to activate four Troll Statues and battle four different Trolls in order to complete this task.
- Troll Statue #1: The Derelict Outpost, Midgard.
- Troll Statue #2 and #3: Noatun’s Garden, Vanaheim. They are next to each other. You can enter this area by boat only during the day (change daytime at Celestial Altars).
- Troll Statue #4: The Forbidden Sands, Alfheim.
- The four Trolls will give you four Slumber Stones in total. Use them to craft the armor pieces. Congratulations, you have your brand-new Steinbjorn Armor Set.
Become the envy of all Nine Realms and sport your brand-new and, quite frankly, very fashionable Steinbjorn Armor Set. Oh, and by the way, it is the best armor in the game, so enjoy it!
