Sword upgrades are always a good thing to collect. In RPGs, I always favor the warrior class, since I’m pretty much useless as a mage or any other class. I prefer the use of strength to win my battles, hence my constant failures in life. But hey, swords are pretty powerful, and they look pretty good, right? Anyway, in Old School Runescape, a legacy version of the very well-known RPG, there is a sword that will decimate all the monsters in the game without you breaking a sweat. I’m talking of course about Arcligh. How do you get Arclight in Old School Runescape? Well, continue reading to find out.
How do you Get Arclight?
Being a very powerful variant of Darklight, before even trying to wield it, the sword Arclight will require a minimum of level 75 Attack. It is a great sword that excels at dealing with demon type monsters. It is a step up from Darklight, retaining some of its special attacks such as Weaken, and also increasing substantially in accuracy and damage. How do you get Arclight, then? Well, of course, first you will need Darklight, which you will collect during the Shadow of the Storm quest. If you used to have it, but you lost it, you can purchase it back from Sir Prysin in Varrock Palace for 1,000 coins.
In order to make Arclight, you must you Darklight on the altar in the center of Zeah Catacombs. You must need 3 ancient shards in your inventory to do this. These shards appear from enemy drops in the Catacombs of Kourend. Once you use Darklight, you will be given Arclight with 1,000 initial charges. Every 3 ancient shards added, Arclight will receive an additional 1,000 charges, and they can be stacked up to 10,000 charges in total. Each charge is used when landing a succesful attack, except for special stacks. If all your charges are used, your sword will revert to Darklight. If you lose it, you can pay Sir Prysin 1,000 coins to get Darklight instead, since recovering it in Arclight state is impossible.
