How Do You Change Hair in Harvestella?

Is style as important as farming?

I’m busy enough with a desk job that I only get my hair cut every few months, so I can’t even imagine what kind of hair policies a farmer has to maintain. That’s assuming a regular farmer, too, and not the kind in Harvestella who has to juggle both farming and monster-slaying. Given that busy schedule, there may not be time for a proper makeover. So, how do you change hair in Harvestella?

Unfortunately, the answer to that question is “you don’t.” While you can create and customize your player character at the start of Harvestella’s story, including their hairstyle and hair color, once you set them up, they’re completely locked in. You can’t change your character’s hairstyle or color from your menus, nor is there any kind of in-game hair styling service like a salon. Whatever you set as your hair at the beginning of the game is what you’re stuck with for the duration.

This also goes for your character’s gender, skin tone, voice, and body type. You’d better make sure you like the character you make at the start of the game because you’ll be looking at that face and body for the entire story.

No Time for Customization

The only thing close to customization options present in Harvestella is equitable jobs. When you change the job that your player character has equipped, they’ll instantly don a new outfit related to that job’s specialties, Final Fantasy III-style. Some of these outfits even feature hats or hair accessories. Sadly, Harvestella does not feature cosmetic armor; the outfits are inexorably tied to their jobs, which means the only way to wear them is to have their corresponding job equipped.

It’s unfortunate, but think of it this way: you save a lot of time not having to re-style your hair that could instead be dedicated to farming!
