How Do Fire Hydrants Work in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk?

Spoiler alert: they don't put out fires

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is a unique indie game that combines elements of fast-paced parkour, advanced graffiti, and exploration in a futuristic cyberpunk setting. Many gamers and critics have begun to aptly refer to it as a “spiritual successor” to Jet Set Radio, a game developed by Smilebit way back in 2000; this game is especially exciting for Jet Set Radio fans, but it can easily be enjoyed by anyone looking for a 90s-themed graffiti-filled adventure!

In the electrifying world of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, where urban exploration meets graffiti artistry, every corner of the virtual cityscape holds thrilling secrets waiting to be uncovered. Amidst the pulsating neon lights and the rhythmic beats of the soundtrack, one unexpected gameplay element stands out: the fire hydrants. They may look unassuming, but these aren’t your run-of-the-mill hydrants – they hold the key to completely changing the way you navigate the cyberpunk landscape!

How Do Fire Hydrants Work in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk?

If you’ve been playing Bomb Rush Cyberfunk for literally any length of time, then you’ve likely already noticed the abundance of fire hydrants that occupy this game’s electric landscape. They may look unassuming, but these hydrants are the keys to unlocking vertical parkour in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk!

All you need to do to activate fire hydrants in Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is hop on top of them with a skateboard and start spamming your trick buttons. This will cause the fire hydrant to “unscrew” and lift you up several feet off the ground!

Once you’re up in the air, you can stop spamming and jump off of them as you would with any other parkour platform. Just always make sure that you’re on a skateboard prior to hopping on the hydrant. If you try to use anything other than a skateboard, it will not work.

Where Can You Find Fire Hydrants?

Obviously, you’ll need to find a fire hydrant first before you go trying to rocket yourself off of one. Thankfully, these skateboard launchers aren’t difficult to find among Bomb Rush Cyberfunk’s neon cityscape.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk’s fire hydrants are strategically placed throughout the game’s various urban maps, blending seamlessly into the vibrant cityscape. You can typically find fire hydrants positioned along streets, near walls, and even occasionally in open areas.

Make sure you also try to keep an eye out for fire hydrants situated near corners, intersections, and anywhere that looks like it has parkour potential. They can often be easily missed on account of their natural urban camouflage, so make sure you scrutinize every nook and cranny while you explore!
