Where to find vendors in Honkai Star Rail

Vendors are incredibly important in a game because as you progress you’ll earn currency. The different types of currencies available are Hertareum and Shield. Hertareum currency is used to make purchases at the Herta Space Station, whereas Shield currency, sells items at the Jaril-VI planet. As you progress through the game you will unlock Boulder Town, where you can access Jaril-VI. Here’s where you can find the main vendors in Honkai Star Rail.

1. Herta Space Station Vendor

Your first vendor is located at the Herta Space Station at the Master Control Zone near the Central Passage waypoint. If you pull up your map you should see a market icon. The NPC you want to search for is named Wen Shiqi and he sells various useful items such as relic items, character upgrades, bonus rewards for making various purchases, and character level-up items like light cones and traces. After you have completed some quests, make your way over to him, so you can see if you will be rewarded for your efforts.

If you’re going to make purchases here we recommend you purchase the Shadow of Destruction for 500 Hertareums. This will help you raise the Trailblazer’s Eidolon level.

2. The Overworld Vendor

If you haven’t gained access to the new planet known as Jaril-VI, keep playing the main storyline. Eventually, you’ll go to another planet that is divided into two sectors. The first main city is called The Overworld and it has vending machines, vendors that sell recipes, and vendors that sell books. It’s not as popular as Boulder Town, the next sector of Jaril-VI, but it does have a few places where you can make purchases. You will need the currency Shield in order to make purchases around this city.

3. Boulder Town Vendor

The next sector in Jaril-VI is underground and it’s ruled by miners and miscreants that aren’t living a glamorous life as those above ground. In Boulder Town, there is an NPC named Lauder which is located by the Goethe Grand Hotel waypoint. Teleport to the waypoint and you’ll be able to spend your shields on various items. Similar to the Herta Space Station, this town sells pretty much the same gear. The only difference is that it sells a four-star relic that you should purchase immediately. There are also leveling materials, character ascension pieces, and consumables you can find.

If you’re going to make purchases here we recommend you purchase the Shadow of Destruction for 1000 Shields. This will help you raise the Trailblazer’s Eidolon level.
